Queenstown, New Zealand - Booking a Hostel

You're going around New Zealand, booking things last minute and start moving your way further south and someone tells you that Queenstown books up weeks in advance. Damn. Now you need to start booking hostels to ensure you have a place to sleep. I've been there. This tourist hub is a jumping off point (quite literally) for many adventurers and since it's now such a big tourist attraction, accommodations can be hard to find. I'd recommend trying to book your hostels in this area (so everything from here to Te Anau and up to Mt Cool/Lake Tekapo area) at least 3-4 weeks in advance so that you aren't switching hostels during your stay or walking far from the city center if you are busing everywhere.

Queenstown doesn't work like most other areas in that not all of the places are listed on Hostelworld or Booking.com (also, for hostels, I recommend Hostelworld over Booking.com because the reviews and pictures are much more accurate and paint a better story of where you'll be setting up for the night).

With this in mind, I started this list to help out other travelers. Hopefully it helps! If I'm missing an accommodation (this list is just for single beds, not hotels or camping), let me know.
